When I take my son to his Young Singers practices at Callenwolde Fine Art Center, I get some time to sketch while he's practicing.

It's a big empty room, generally, with not much to sketch. So, gestures from the mind...

I picked up a really good anatomy book, "Human Anatomy Made Amazingly Easy" by C. Hart. I have several drawing anatomy books, but for some reason, this one really clicked. I actually read it cover to cover, which I don't think I've ever done. I think the best part is that I really started thinking about the skeletal structure and how that effects the outward appearance.
